Nico Evans is a pro-ready, draft-eligble, free agent running back and special teams standout from Los Angeles, CA, and a graduate of the University of Wyoming.
A powerful runner who became the first Wyoming Cowboy to lead the Mountain West Conference in rushing, Evans ran for 1,325 yards in 9+ games in 2018, ranking #4 among FBS rushers in rushing yards per game. Evans became the 10th Cowboy runner to rush for more than 1,000 yards in Wyoming's 126-year history.
A patient, explosive runner with perceptive field vision and football-fast, second-gear speed, in 2018 Evans had 6 touchdown runs of 40+ yards, and 5 total runs of greater than 50 yards. He accumulated 9 total touchdowns, and accounted for .26 missed tackles per attempt, 5th among FBS rushers.
He consistently runs the 40 in the 4.4s, and was chip-timed running greater than 22 mph.
Evans was also a four-year starter on special teams (KO, P, KR, PR, Hands) and principal passing-down protection RB for QB Josh Allen (2015-17).
In 2018, Evans was selected first-team All-Mountain West Conference performer, team captain, and All-Mountain West Conference Academic Team (4x).
In January 2019, Evans was selected to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Game in Pasadena.
In April, 2019, Nico Evans was signed as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) by the Philadelphia Eagles.
In September, 2019, Nico Evans was drafted by the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL in the inaugural league draft.
Nico Evans trained with elite professional speed, technique and strength & conditioning coaches at Kobe Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy in Newbery Park, CA. and the University of Wyoming High Altitude Perfomance Center in Laramie, WY.
